The area was hit by gale after gale in March, 2008. On this piece of coast, sheltered by Gigha and Islay, the full brunt of the Atlantic does not reach in but short sharp seas, often sandy in colour, smash against the shores. The sky was ever changing like something out of a Wagner opera.
